There are probably two names that are more synonymous with the American car industry than any others – Ford and Chevrolet. Soon after Henry Ford had introduced his vehicles to members of the public, William C Durant and Louis Chevrolet wanted to set themselves up as the main rivals to Ford and that is very much what happened.
